Welcome to Botswicky…
A stay at Helen Browning’s Yurts offers an opportunity to unwind and connect with nature via beautiful handcrafted nordic yurts made with Norwegian oak, English ash and furnished with cherry wood furnishings. Great care has been taken to source, prepare and maintain the materials that make up the site.
Each structure tells a story and offers a place to relax and enjoy Botswicky, with views towards the chalk hills of The Ridgeway and spectacular sunsets to the west.
The site is entirely off-grid and follows Helen’s own organic and sustainable principles; it is also proudly part of the Greener Camping Club and you will need to be a member to stay with us (don’t worry it’s easy to join and you’ll be supporting greener projects such as tree-planting).
Introducing Helen Browning’s yurts
Botswicky is a 5 acre site of organic hay meadow surrounded by ancient woodland and nature reserves. Here Nordic Glamping offer an off-grid, green, glamping experience with beautifully handcrafted, well dressed yurts and traditional structures, comfortable beds, very pleasant toilets and shower facilities and a covered well stocked kitchen
Secluded and naturally bounded by farmland, fields and trees, Nordic Glamping hosts three gorgeous and generously spaced-apart steam-bent yurts and four tent-pitches.
Our Yurts
Nordic Glamping is based just a few short miles away in neighbouring Oxfordshire. They provide handcrafted, steambent yurts and other wooden structures. Their ethos is simple: use the best quality raw materials nature can offer and suppliment these with locally sourced fabrics and furnishings.
